Meals for Inner Peace Research Center

Meals for Inner Peace Research Center proposes the imagination of bringing an element of comfort into food, which originally meant for emergency situations.

On March 26th, 2025, the European Commission and High Representative launched the Preparedness Union Strategy: meant to enhance Europe’s capability to prevent and respond to emerging threats. This strategy contains a suggestion towards the public to prepare essentials meant to last at least 72 hours – including food items, documents, batteries and so on. Online advice usually includes foods such as canned goods and protein bars. While these could certainly keep you alive, how could they help you feel calm, or provide you the comfort you need to release some of your anxiety? Could we imagine the concept of a go-bag as a collective resource, rather than something you prepare only for yourself?

Between September and November, MIP Research Center aims to collectively explore what this could mean, an exploration through workshops and dinners.
