MIP Research Center Yen-ting Kuan & Alice Strete

Born in Taichung, Taiwan, Yen-Ting Kuan is an independent curator, writer and translator based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. She has a particular focus on contemporary art and its relationship with new technologies, politics, and ecology. Furthermore, she endeavors to explore methods of decolonizing (contemporary) art history and politicalizing our relationship to the natural world. She initiated the publishing project Melon with Limestone Books from Maastricht.

Alice Strete (she/her, RO/NL) is an artist, researcher and chef in training, interested in the intricate relationship between humans and the technologies
they surround themselves with. Her work involves collaborative self-organising practices, publishing and cooking. The artist explores topics from feminist technologies to the socio-politics of food. Her practice is often translated into publications, work sessions, workshops, dinners and sometimes physical installations. She is a member of both the Varia collective and the BioBulkBende food co-operative.
