Hot-Glue-Stick-Maps workshop

Crafting Together Workday | Hot-Glue-Stick-Maps workshop
Saturday 29 March from 13.00 – 17.00 at Garage Rotterdam

Led by sculptor, painter, printmaker and publisher Linda Zeb Hang, the Hot-Glue-Stick-Maps workshop is a hands-on, collective workshop for texture atlas identification, exploring social, personal boundaries, and synthesized spontaneity. Participants will use proletarian materials, such as hot glue, wax paper, cardboard and aerosol as tools to consider how structure and freedom interact.

This workshop will activate an outdoor hanging installation by the artist and architect Tomi Hilsee, who shows work in Underdeveloped at a Garage Rotterdam. During the workshop, participants will weave culminating designs from the structure, to give some public expression to the street.

Both artists are active members of the Doe Het Zelf Werkplaats / DHZ, a bike repair garden located at a public park in Rotterdam Noord. Centered around Learning Together and anti-judgement, previous knowledge of bikes or tools are not necessary to get started. The Garden of Learning at DHZ hosts many herbs and operates on similar values of building community and leadership through an economy of reciprocal generosity, growing together and taking interest.

Join us during this workshop on Saturday 29 March from 13.00 to 17.00 PM. Free entry!
