ook_anders has many different names and constellations and is situated around the Neue Bruderkirche, Kassel. The carpet is a reflection of the location’s constant adaptation to realities of all sorts. The carpet can be perceived as a shrine.

A shrine is a place of power, a sacred space, a container for what is important to us. We gradually understand the way we work and the concern for networking. We had an intensive conversation about how it is often not so easy to come together on certain topics, and since this discussion took place in English we came up with the keyword “common ground”.

We developed the goal of weaving a carpet together with many other individuals and groups in the district, as a metaphor for our networking and for the “common ground” that arises from it and on which we stand together. On this carpet, activities on the topic of “common ground” will take place, that is, on the question of how we can find common foundations for our actions. This can be music that connects cultures, or performance or conversations with guests..
