Taqwa Ali
Taqwa Ali (Sudan, 1997) works with painting, sculpture, and performative interventions. Through material research, she explores themes such as migration, identity, and diaspora, with particular attention to the ways in which materials can carry personal and collective histories. Ali has received, among others, the Henriƫtte Hustinx Prize, the Van Bommel van Dam Prize, and the Royal Prize for Free Painting. Her work is held in the collection of the Bonnefanten Museum in Maastricht and in various private collections.
