Lana Mesić

Lana Mesić (b. 1987, Yugoslavia) is a Rotterdam-based artist whose work spans photography, sculpture, video, books, and public interventions. Her transdisciplinary practice reflects on the strange choreography of contemporary life, where personal stories intersect with social and political realities. Through observation, research, and collected materials, she responds to the world with curiosity, criticality, and dark humor. Mesić often uses subtle disruptions and mischievous gestures to question the invisible structures that shape everyday life. She graduated from St. Joost Academy with a BA and MFA in Photography, and has exhibited internationally at institutions including Museum Arnhem, PhotoEspaña, Photo London, and the International Criminal Court. Her work is held in several public and private collections.
