Juan Pérez Agirregoikoa
Juan Pérez Agirregoikoa lives and works between Paris and San Sebastian. He is represented by Clages Gallery and the Carreras Mugica Gallery. His work is concerned with the ability of visual and written language to challenge those who come into contact with it, questioning what type of subjects we are, or allow ourselves to be. The project would be a fight against culture and its transmission.
His drawings, publications, banners and films have been shown in exhibitions such as Active Threads at KAI10 Artena Foundation in Düsseldorf, Vasos comunicantes at Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid, There is an enemy at Museo Guggenheim Bilbao, Punk: sus rastros en el arte contemporáneo at MACBA in Barcelona, and participated among others in the Sao Paulo Bienal 2014 and the Bienal de Lyon in 2007.
