Erwin Wurm
Erwin Wurm (b. 1954, Austria) is an artist whose work radically expands conventional ideas of sculpture, space, and the human form. His sculptures move between abstraction and representation, presenting familiar objects in surprising and inventive ways that invite viewers to see them anew. Wurm often addresses both everyday decisions and existential questions, focusing on the objects through which we navigate daily life and ultimately define ourselves. These include the material things that surround us: the clothes we wear, the cars we drive, the food we eat, and the homes we live in.
